Welcome to the fourth of our Voice-Care Partner interviews!
The Voice-Care Partner Ecosystem comprises of leading companies within their respective fields, whose market-leading and progressive technologies enable the creation of ground-breaking Voice-Care solutions, designed to transform and enhance patient safety and care throughout any hospital or clinical environment.
For this interview we spoke with Adam Beardmore, Managing Director at Dalen Healthcare, to find out his thoughts on all things Voice-Care.
1. How long have you been in your current role at Dalen Healthcare?
I have held the role of Managing Director for just under two years, but I have now been at the company for 16 years working full time in various roles, and a few summer holidays in the factory before that!
2. Can you tell us more about Dalen Healthcare?
Dalen Healthcare specialises in mobile cart solutions which help the NHS achieve digital transformation and improve patient care. We have been manufacturing in the UK for many years and believe our ability to customise products to exactly meet customer needs is crucial in modern healthcare environments.
3. What does your role within Dalen Healthcare involve?
My role encompasses a little bit of everything! We have teams working on product design, manufacturing, sales and marketing, all of which need to pull together to make sure we are offering the best possible value through products and services to our clients.
4. How long have you known the team at Voice-Care?
We have been liaising with the team for around 6 years now, working on a range of projects over that time.
5. What is your opinion of the range of Voice-Care solutions?
I think the innovation that Voice-Care is pioneering has real potential to fundamentally change how healthcare professionals interface with technology and deliver care. Every practitioner I have spoken to about Voice-Care has immediately grasped the value it brings and I think there is quite rightly a lot of excitement as deployments start to gather pace.
6. How does Dalen Healthcare fit into the Voice-Care Partner Ecosystem?
We have been working with Voice-Care for some time now developing the right mobile cart solution to make sure that everything needed is brought together in one package that is suitable for any healthcare environment.
To do this we have to make sure that the technology is positioned in such a way to enable the task at hand, to provide reliable and safe service, and to ensure that any healthcare professional can carry out their task without being distracted by technological frustrations.
7. What do you believe are Voice-Care’s specific USPs?
Voice-Care’s USPs are numerous. The real-time capture of surgical checklists is critical for patient safety, while its clinician-led design has enabled the creation of fit-for-purpose applications and solutions. Its natural language-based system reduces training requirements, while multi-lingual support facilitates usage regardless of native language.
8. How do you believe Voice-Care has the potential to enable positive change within the healthcare sector, specifically in terms of patient safety and care?
I think that the real time capture of responses for the WHO surgical safety checklists is a game changer and will certainly lead to lives being saved. Overall, the potential is huge as the same methodology can be applied to so many processes, improving process accuracy and inevitably leading to huge improvements in patient safety and care.
9. And finally, what do you hope the future holds for Dalen Healthcare’s relationship with Voice-Care?
I think it’s bright! It is always exciting to work with innovative companies. I feel that both companies drive each other to achieve greater heights through collaboration, and the sky really is the limit.
